What’s the Advantages of Calcium Silicate Boards?

Calcium Silicate Board has the advantages of high intensity(rupture strength is over 15MPa), light weight, good machinable property and incombustibility, small coefficient of thermal conductivity, thermostability, corrosion preventive, sawability and cuttability.（1）Long service life：Chemical reaction occurs among the siliceous material and the calcareous material under high temperature and pressure, which produce the tobermorite crystals with very stable performance. Hence, Calcium Silicate Board with such crystals as the main ingredient has advantages of acid alkali resistance, not easy to corrode and being affected with damp or ant, which ensure its long service life.（2）Incombustibility：Fire is easy to spread among the traditional wooden product and a large amount of toxic smoke and harmful substances will be produced. Compared with the wooden product, fireproof performance of Calcium Silicate Board can reach the highest grade: A1 specified in the GB 8624—2006 Standard.（3）Waterproof and Moisture-proof：The calcium silicate board has low water absorption and moisture content, which cannot be replaced by the wooden product. It has excellent waterproof performance and can avoid the expansion or deformation.（4）Light Weight：Density of the board is between 1.2 g/cm3 and 1.4g/cm3, and weight of the calcium silicate board per square meter is about 30-40kg, so it will not bring additional load to the structure and wall of the new and old building.
